Description
In order for Passive House to impact significantly on carbon emissions, project must move from single to multi-family scale. With that come opportunities and challenges – the former in terms of form factor, the latter in terms of mechanical system choices and integration with below grade levels and services. Attendees will take a journey through multiple case studies, diving down into the detail and exploring the multiplicity of options available to designers both for new build as well as retrofit . The objective of the workshop is to give attendees an invaluable insight into the most efficient means of bring scale to Passive House projects.

Topic : PHPP v.9 (IP Version) What's New, with a Focus on Retrofits
Description
This workshop will review all new aspects of the latest changes and new developments in the PHPP using the newest v.9 release. You will learn to work with PHPP's numerous features with a focus for application to the building stock - before, as well as after energy retrofit - including the comparison of different design options and the development of a step-by-step retrofit plan. Specifics of EnerPHit verification according to component quality requirements or target energy demand for different climate conditions will also be covered in this workshop.
