What do you call a Cluster of Passive House buildings
The Palo Alto Tour (return via SFO.) Visit the largest concentration of Passive House buildings in California. Projects include the first office building, a mixed-use building, and a Passive House that powers the first public electric vehicle charging station in the country. All these projects are ‘Plus Energy’ buildings.
THE SANTA CRUZING TOUR (RETURNS VIA SFO by 4.15pm.)
Passive by the Beach
The millionth square meter of Passive House building is located in Santa Cruz and it’s a renovation of a classic Californian Craftsman Bungalow. The two other homes that round out this trip to the coast include an exposed cork façade and a luxury view of the Pacific Ocean.
NETWORKING LUNCH WITH YOUR NEW FRIENDS
All tours leave from THE OAKLAND MARRIOTT at 8.30am. We’ve organized a selection of tours for you to enjoy at NAPHN17. Tours are always the best opportunity to find out how Passive House buildings are designed, built and operate, but also provide a unique opportunity to network and engage with fellow conference attendees. The most valuable information of the conference is often found on tour!
RETURN VIA THE AIRPORT
We’ve made it easier for you to get home! All tours return to the Oakland Marriott Hotel so there is an option to stop at Oakland Airport 45 minutes after all SFO stops. Busses all depart from the conference hotel and will be large enough to take your luggage. We’ve planned for you to use the tour as your airport shuttle!
